Just in time for the World Economic Forum in Davos, Edelman has released its 2012 Trust Barometer. CEOs and businesses in general don’t fare so well – although they rate above government – but “academics or experts” and “technical experts” are deemed trustworthy by a majority of respondents. The report takes a look at attributes of trust, now and in the future, and predicts that engaging customers and responding to societal imperatives will play a significant role in building trust for businesses.
